SK FoundationSK Foundation, a California based charitable organization is committed to providing service for those who are mentally challenged. Our mission is to educate, train and rehabilitate these children and adults with learning disabilities due to inborn errors of metabolism and make them self-reliant. With proper care, guidance and specialized training these disabled children and adults can become part of our society and lead independent lives.
The goal of SK Foundation is to collect funds to help finance institutions dedicated to the uplifting of such mentally challenged children and adults. SK Foundation plans to fund and work closely with an organization called “Swayamkrushi” located in Secunderabad, India. Swayamkrushi is an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of the mentally challenged. With a dedicated and passionate training staff, facilities and ‘home like’ living units housing up to 8 individuals in a family type environment, Swayamkrushi has made impressive progress in bringing a number of these less fortunate individuals back into society over the last several years.
SK Foundation is a California charitable organization, and has been approved for tax exemption by the Internal Revenue Service. Donations made to SK Foundation (to be made in the name of Swayamkrushi Foundation) are fully tax deductible under section 501(c)(3) of Internal Revenue Code.
SK Foundation is managed by Mr. T. S. Srinivasan, and Mr. Murali Kotte, both executives at Silicon Valley corporations and Dr. Vani Hardev, a retired professor of Biology and currently Freelance editor. These individuals have dedicated their time for the cause on an honorary basis. SK Foundation is a zero overhead organization; all the donations received are used for charitable work. |
